Why it exists

Automated routing still needs a human path

Many brokers run automated execution and manual dealing side by side. The risk is not manual trading itself; it is that the two paths produce different records, so neither is fully auditable.

Dealing Desk describes a manual order path with the same audit trail as automated routing, client-specific pricing under desk-level exposure limits, and a clean handover between the two.

A dealer's action produces the same event trail as an automated one, which is what makes the two paths comparable instead of one of them invisible.

  • Manual handling with the same event trail as automated.
  • Client-specific pricing and markup.
  • Handover between automated and manual execution.

Design

How Dealing Desk is designed to work

Manual, still recorded

A dealer's action produces the same event trail as an automated one, so neither path is invisible.

Client pricing

Markup is configuration per client or symbol, evaluated before an order is priced.

Automated to manual handover

Execution can move between automatic routing and desk handling while keeping one order record.

Audience

Who operates it

The desk is a broker-side surface for the people who price and handle orders, held to the same rules as the automated path.

  • Dealers work a manual order path with a recorded trail.
  • Markup is configuration per client or symbol.
  • Desk actions are evaluated against venue-wide risk rules.

Declared integration surfaces

  • FIX API for venue connectivity.
  • REST API for client and pricing configuration.
  • Handover between automated and manual handling.
